Our aim is to foster community understanding, enjoyment, and active participation in Ikebana. We believe Ikebana holds profound potential to benefit society — offering healing, connection, creativity, and spiritual enrichment to many more people than it currently reaches.

To realise this vision, we must rethink our approach. Innovation is essential. By presenting Ikebana not only as a traditional Japanese art form but also as environmental art, a contemplative practice, and a contemporary creative expression, we open new pathways for engagement and relevance in modern society.

While many Ikebana events primarily attract those already familiar with the art form, Wa Melbourne Ikebana Festival reaches beyond the existing Ikebana community. We actively engage:
