Shoan Lo resides in Australia and is a registered architect as well as a certified teacher of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and facilitator of the online Ikebana Dojo.  She is also the associate director of Ikebana Gallery Award - the first international ikebana award for all ikebana students, and a secretary of International Society of Ikebana Research.

Her most recent public display is the metal sculpture she worked in collaboration with Shoso Shimbo for the Le Pine Funeral Parlour at Kew East. Her ikebana mask has won the first prize for the Mask Making Challenge at the Royal Melbourne Show 2020. 

She actively involved as one of the project managers for Wa: Ikebana Melbourne Festival 2019.

Her paper, "Ikebana workshop for kids: Findings on conduction ikebana workshops for young children" was published in International Journal of Ikebana Studies (2019), Vol.7.
